in·de·ci·sive

Is it just me, or does the feeling of indecisiveness creep up on many? I am no stranger to it, for its been following me around for years. I always thought it was just me being a Gemini, but when it disrupts major life choices, you know you gotta put a stop to it!
Im currently living in a bit of a whirl wind. Im having to make a major decision which in the past i knocked back. But when you are given that same opportunity for the second time, its almost as if you have to take it. Call it destiny, call it fate or just plain good luck. Im living in regret at the moment, a clear picture as to why i should take up my chance. We cant let little things hold us back, for if we did, we'd never get anywhere in life. Its taken me a while to realize this, but maybe i needed these extra few months to grow, both mentally and spiritually.
So maybe it is finally time i decide once and for all on something. This something is big, its major, huge even. Moving half way across the world to follow my dreams and sticking to them. Even if it means experiencing feelings of uncertainty and being overwhelmed, you sometimes have to put that aside and just got with it. You just dont know what is waiting for you on the other side.

"Spring is natures way of saying, "Lets Party!"'

Perfect spring day in Melbourne today. Sun shining, blue skies, birds chirping, couldn't ask for anything better. Ive been lazing out, soaking in some Vitamin D & filling up on summer fruit salads, water & fresh lemonade. Days like this instantly put you in a fabulous mood, everything feels right & theres that extra spring (pardon the pun) in your step.

Absorb it, live it, feel it, breathe it.

There is definitely something sexy about a girl with an attitude and a pair of leather pants.

December 2010-the month i purchased my first item of leather clothing. The soft, delicate Sass & Bide pants were my prized possession of the month. I wore them absolutely everywhere, even braving the 40 degree NYE weather. They were beautifully constructed, rough but gentle, a cross between Guns n Roses' Slash and Vogue Japans Anna Del Russo. As the months continued to warm (and i came to the realization that heat stroke was not a justification for fashion), i tucked them safely away for a cooler time. Fast forward to now, and they have been my saviour from this frosty Melbourne weather. Because the leather pant is such a timeless piece that can be worn with anything, it makes it that much more exciting to build the perfect outfit. Think of them as a blank canvas on which you can paint whatever you like. For a softer look, a knit in a lighter colour works well, great as a day time casual outfit. For night, pair with killer heels, a blouse and accessories. Go all out as Stevie Knicks, rocking them with fur and biker boots or for an edgier look, why not try with studs and more leather, a la Kate Moss. The possibilities are endless. Just close your eyes, click your heels three times and follow the black leather road....

Model Muse: Erin Wasson

“I just believe, as totally hippy bullshit as that sounds, anything’s possible if you’re willing to grab it and make it your own. You look at Stevie Nicks. Did she have the most amazing voice in the world? Fuck — but she got on stage and she owned every molecule inside of herself and completely captured every molecule around everybody else in the entire room. She was the poster child for, ‘I don’t give a fuck, it’s about my soul and my spirit and my music, and you either dig it or you don’t.’ And that’s kind of my take on all this…”

The Rise of Ksubi

For my fellow Australians (possibly even international readers), Ksubi should be one of your number 1 brands to go for when in need of denim! Today, whilst out and about on Chapel St, i was ecstatic to see that they are opening their second store in Melbourne, right in the hustle and bustle of the iconic fashion strip. Now, for someone like myself, who has worn the label since i was a 13yo young gun and has numerous amounts of their tee's, jewellery, sunglasses & denim (phew), this is possibly the most wonderful thing that could happen. Yes, i said it. The opening of a store has enlightened my existence, call me sad-but it is true. If you are reading this post and thinking; "what is so special about Ksubi?!" let me give you a quick history lesson. Created by Dan Single & George Gorrow in 2000, the brand quickly catapulted to international fame, being stocked in Selfridges alongside world-renowned brands Stella McCartney & Marc Jacobs. Today, the Sydney fashion label can be seen on a-list celebs, such as model Erin Wasson and fashionista Nicole Richie, whilst also being loved and respected by fellow Aussies for the duo's laid back outlook on fashion. Chapel St.

A lovely sunny day in Melbourne today. These were taken by my mum, who refused to stop even after the embarrassment of passers by staring. As most know, Melbournian's are known to wear black-and only black! I have fallen victim to this trap. However, i decided today is the day i will wear my dull, yet favourite ensemble (Sass & Bide skinnies, Wrangler knit, Sass & Bide bag) with a pop of colour. Everyone, this is RedScarf. RedScarf, meet everyone. This delicate, thick, beautifully knitted piece will be a constant feature, accompanying me throughout my adventures. Stay tuned...
