The Year of the Rabbit

Another year down, another list of resolutions to make. It always seems to go like this, we rebirth & reinvent ourselves to adjust to the next set of digits. Maybe we don't need to set 'resolutions', rather have a  plan or purpose for the future. Resolution is defined as an intention to resolve something, but i believe we don't need to resolve or alter who we were. Instead we should embrace our last years self & add or subtract to it.

In the spirit of reflection, i have compiled a gallery of my favorite looks/photographs of twentyeleven. Each of the above speaks out to me in some way, whether it be the personality, style, colour, photographer or aura of the image.

Have a safe & happy new year. Thank you to all who have supported fashionmethodology both national & international.
Smile, laugh, dream, hope, have faith & stay healthy.
See you in 2012

Hang my Hangers

One click of a mouse, a few taps on a keyboard (the dreadful punching in of the credit card with the guilt slowly looming in) & what do you know? Your payment method has been accepted, the confirmation email awaits in your inbox & the days leading up to delivery are as slow as a snail.
Welcome to the 21st century, where online shopping has taken on the main role in the buying and selling of consumer products.

As a 19 yr old female who spends endless hours on shopping sites (shopbop sale anyone?!) whilst in my pj's snacking on chocolate, I couldn't have asked for anything better. During one of my shopping fuelled rampages, i came across something amazing in my facebook inbox. There, in black font, was a description of an online store i had never visited before (yes-there was a site i had not visited out there!) So there i am, anticipating at what's to come, the rainbow mac wheel spinning away as my computer froze due to my excitement rush.

Let me introduce you to Hangers.
One of the very first online stores to be based in Melbourne, Hangers was established in 2008 by two fashion-savvy, driven individuals who knew what consumers wanted & who are still giving them exactly what they need. Specialising in female street wear, work wear & evening wear, the site helps reflect upon the lifestyle of the buyer, giving them confidence & quality in every item.
Accessories, tops, bottoms, dresses & jackets are brought in from all over the globe, allowing for each piece to have its very own story and a sense of individualism.

Southern State of Mind

Tis the season to give! Come support a good cause this Tuesday 6-10pm at Dinos, Chapel St Windsor. Have some drinks & nibblies, browse through local designers pop-up stores & most of all, bring an item of clothing to donate to the Red Cross.

A night of fashion, art & giving.

Welcome to the 'House of Baulch'

After a lovely afternoon of running errands with my best friend, we stumbled upon the House of Baulch studio sale. A great afternoon instantly turned into an amazing accessory filled hour!

Kathryn Baulch, founder, creates pieces that embody individual style & an aesthetic like no other. A combination of fashion statement pieces & art-deco style, each item tells its own story with its experimental approach.

Having spent 5 years creating for Mimco jewelry, it is no wonder that Kathryn has developed such a highly acclaimed label, with international and Aussie personalities sporting everything, from necklaces to bags!

Be sure to browse through the online store, you are bound to find something that fits your personality & style. I sure did!
